ISBN: 067144901X, Published by Little Simon, 13 pages.
A short, easy way to understand the sounds that most well-known animals make. Written in very simple English, it flows quickly through the pages.
Like all of the Sandra Boynton books I have read, the pictures are at least as much fun as the words.
I found it much fun to insert phrases from other Boynton books into parts of this one, much to my children's laughter and dismay. ("The cow says, 'Moo', the sheep says ,'Baa', but not the hippopotamus - wrong phrase.) Lots of fun for readers and listeners alike.

Though I think Boynton books are cute - they seem really to have little literary value beyond that. I find that my kids are not interested in the books other than the initial interest in the pictures. Kids seem to be able to handle much more meaty and interesting material than this.
