A lengthly and rich retelling of the King Arthur myths, with a focus on the women around him. The story is told, primarily, through his sister Morgaine (Morgan Le Fay). Contains detailed descriptions of Druidic/Pagan rituals and much of the tension of the story rises from the conflict between the native religions of England and Christianity. Contains non-graphic sexual scenes. This book is probably most appropriate for mature teen readers who enjoy really long and dense books.
