Probably my favorite of the 4 titles listed here for the simple reason that it sings just as well as it reads.
Simple, easy rhythm patterns and rhyme schemes make it an easy book for anyone to follow, and language that parents and children can enjoy. (I especially like the word "cavort" right at the beginning.)
It is the basic story of a hippo who sees all the animals around her doing different things, but she doesn't. Finally, they come running back and ask her to join them. Does she? You'll have to read it to find out.

Though I think Boynton books are cute - they seem really to have little literary value beyond that. I find that my kids are not interested in the books other than the initial interest in the pictures. Kids seem to be able to handle much more meaty and interesting material than this.
