Each laminated plate can be used as a top or back as they are symmetrical. Additionally, they can accommodate both sharp and rounded cutaways as well an non-cutaway designs. The interior of each plate requires only light sanding with 220 grit paper to prepare the surface for brace installation. Overall specs are:

• 7 layers of cross grained wood with the outer layer of one-piece curly maple. Each inner layer is American beech wood.
• Finished body dimensions are typically: 20" long, 16" wide lower bout, and 12" wide upper bout. There is enough gluing surface to allow for some variation in these dimensions, particularly the upper and lower bout widths.

I try to keep several sets available for immediate delivery but in cases where I need to make up new sets the lead time is 1 week for a single plate and two weeks for a set of two.
