4. Cut 1-3/4" cross sections.
Cut 8 of each. As you cut, stack sections in an "X" like
this. Keep larger light sections on top.
5. Make a test block.
a. Sew a couple of pairs together like this (Scant 1/4"
seam, lightest fabric on top, Light end going through the machine first.)
b. Join the sets into a block. Press toward the dark.
