Super Sixteen (page 3 of 3)

6. Check and trim the test block.
a. Press toward the darks.
b. Measure the width. It should be 5-1/2". Correct the block, if necessary, and use the correct seam width for future blocks.
c. Trim the end with the small dark (A) square first. Place the grid over the block with numbers starting at 1-2-3 in that corner. Keep ruler lines parallel to seams. Cover 1-1/2" of the small dark square (arrows). Trim that end of the block.

d. Rotate the block. Adjust the grid so it covers the block at 5-1/2" both ways (arrows) and trim that end.

7. Make the rest of the blocks.
These blocks go together fast if you can square them up quickly. Chain sets together for speed. Press pairs open.
Join pairs into blocks and square them up.

8. Repeat these steps with the second color scheme.
Optional: Complete only four blocks now. Make four Reverse blocks.

9. Assemble the blocks.
Most of this class is dedicated to creative ways to do that.
