It's probably impossible to write a complicated book without some errors creeping in.  Sometimes we authors just agonize or hope nobody has a project messed up. I tend to put stickers on things until the next printing corrects the problem. I'll do my best to clue you in to mistakes that have come to my attention.
 

Sizzling Quilts from a Simple Block (1st printing)

I did hundreds of drawings, about three times twice as many as the editor expected, I think. That's good for the reader because I illustrate everything thoroughly and give lots of ideas. It was a headache for the page designer though, and a few pieces of art were messed up.

Page 48:

A drawing at the bottom of the page was repeated. Here's the correct art (which is also on page 5 in the Table of Contents):


 

The art that's messed up is immediately obvious. Here's what the three borders should look like:

A picture was repeated at the top of the page. No sticker is available, but here is what the art for Reverse blocks should look like:

Step 1.b - Labels are reversed. It should read:
B = 3-34 x 21"
D = 6-3/4 x 21"

Page 84 - Telephone block

The working diagram for the Telephone block is only 7" tall. It should be 7-1/4" tall. The calculations are correct.
 

Sorry, the block is 1/4" too tall. That's easy to fix by widening this seam a bit. (Tell your FLP that Paleontologists have found the Brontosaurus is 1/4" shorter than previously thought.)
 
 
 

If you have an early printing of this book, you will need a sticker for page 28. Check page iv opposite the table of contents. If the book is dedicated to Lillie Scherler, it's a later printing which has been corrected.

The first printing has an error on page 164, first paragraph. Strip piecing the Flying Geese, if  you suspected that 18 dark and 18 light strips equaled 36, not 30, you are correct.

The whole chapter on Flying Geese may have been an error because no one can figure it out. Actually it works.
